Scheme extended
The government have just announced that the scheme originally intended to be in place for 3 months March to May has been extended to 30 June.
Claim portal now open
This is now available from today and we have started to make the claims for furlough grants on behalf of the clients that we operate the payroll for.
Staff on compulsory commission
HMRC have now confirmed that staff on a regular and contractual commission will be treated as on variable pay. This means that their furloughed pay can be calculated on the total of salary and commission based on the same period in the previous year or an average of such wages in the tax year ended 5 April 2020.
